Brewers Aren't Desperate For Lefty Reliever
Aug 29, 2014 3:23 PM
The belief is that the Brewers need a left-handed reliever, but they feel confident with their group of right-handers.
"We're looking around," said general manager Doug Melvin. "But it's got to be someone who will have an impact. We're not going to get a lefty just to have one."
Entering the weekend, left-handed hitters were batting a mere .177 against LaTroy Hawkins, .218 against Marco Estrada, .192 against Francisco Rodriguez and .206 against John Axford.
