Yankees left-handed pitching prospect Manny Banuelos is drawing more attention than normal this month after his name was mentioned in trade rumors. If New York makes an offer for Colorado righty Ubaldo Jimenez, Banuelos has been listed as a possible prospect in their trade package. In 18 starts, the lefty is 3-4 with a 3.64 ERA. He has 86 strikeouts and 45 walks in 84 innings and opposing batters are hitting .262 against him in 2011. He has struggled a bit in July, going 0-3 with a 4.91 ERA while allowing hitters to post a .328 batting average. Banuelos was signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on March 30, 2008 and Baseball America ranked him as the 41st best prospect entering the 2011 season.
