Hal Steinbrenner will remain in full control of the Yankees after the death of his father, longtime owner George Steinbrenner, on Tuesday. Andrew Marchand of ESPNNewYork.com writes that "Hal Steinbrenner is expected to keep the Yankees' payroll at the top of Major League Baseball, but he may try to be a little more prudent than his father." Unlike his father, Hal doesn't like to make bombastic claims as he rarely talks to the press.
