Brewers general manager Doug Melvin is shopping for a pair of starting pitchers this offseason. However, Melvin is waiting to see what two starters might cost Milwaukee. "The toughest part is just getting a sense of what the market is and what's out there," said Melvin. "We've been going through a list of guys and what they might cost." Melvin traveled to Los Angeles last week to meet with owner Mark Attanasio to gauge what kind of money the Brewers have to spend. "We talked about what we have available and which guys we can pursue," Melvin said. "You don't know the cost of these guys. "We've got a certain amount of money we can spend, like any club. Until you know what the cost is, you can't say (which pitchers you might be able to sign)."
