Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran wants to see the team re-sign Carlo Delgado. "He might need to play winter ball and show the organization and whoever is interested in him that he's ready to play, and I think that's what Carlos wants to do," Beltran told the Star Ledger. "But do I want him on my team? Of course. No doubt." Delgado, 37, will be a free agent this winter and is coming off hip and oblique injuries that limited him to just 26 games. He made $12 million in 2009.
