Marlins Could Give Johnson Four-Year Deal

The Marlins plan to offer pitcher Josh Johnson a multiyear contract this winter.
Johnson, who will be eligible for free agency in 2011, would reportedly be open to a four-year deal worth around $50 million.
However, the Miami Herald writes that it would be surprising if the Marlins offered Johnson that much money over the life of a new contract.
If he doesn't sign an extension, "our expectation is he will sign one of the two or three biggest free agent contracts ever for a pitcher," agent Matt Sosnick said.
