Jason Knapp, one of the players the Indians acquired from the Phillies in the trade for Cliff Lee, will have shoulder surgery on Tuesday. The Indians reviewed Knapp's medical records at the time of the trade and there were no issues, according to head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff. Knapp was on the disabled list with Class A Lakewood at the time, but Philadelphia hadn't ordered an MRI, which may have revealed the extent of the damage. The right-hander should be fully recovered from the surgery in time for a normal Spring Training. They will not file a grievance against the Phillies, general manager Mark Shapiro said.
