Outfielder Fred Lewis is expected to have a spot in the Giants' lineup next season, according to San Francisco Chronicle. However, Lewis played his final game of the season on Wednesday as he packs it up for the year to undergo foot surgery. "It's been very painful," Lewis said. "The things I go through every day just to get ready to play, it's just ridiculous. I don't want to go through that any more." He'll undergo surgery Friday for a bunion on his right big toe, and he should be ready for spring training. "Going into next year healthy is the main thing," Lewis said. "I know at the beginning, I probably won't get the starts I probably would've seen. ... But I hope everything is fine in January." Lewis has hit .282 with 9 home runs, 40 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases in 133 games this season. RealGM Note: Lewis is ranked 366th according to our FIC and has a +295% Reina Value.
