The Minnesota Twins are hoping to get more from Byron Buxton after he played just 85 games last season because of a knee injury that required offseason surgery.

In addition to that, Buxton hit just .207/.294/.438 when healthy. He was also limited to designated hitter. He didn't play a single inning in center field in 2023.

An elite defender, Buxton plans to return to center field this season.

"Oh, yeah," he said. "I'm back."

"What makes me so sure [about center field]? My body tells me that," Buxton added. "I wouldn't have said that if I wasn't sure."
