The Tigers placed closer Troy Percival on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday with a torn right forearm muscle. The right-hander is 1-3 with a 5.76 ERA and has eight saves in 11 chances. Percival was on the DL from May 8 to June 4 with the same injury. Percival, in his first season with Detroit, signed a two-year free agent contract in the offseason. He spent the last 10 seasons with the Anaheim franchise. He is the only pitcher with 30 or more saves in each of the last seven seasons.
