Jason Heyward is one of a few players that turned down more money elsewhere to sign with the Chicago Cubs this winter.

Ben Zobrist, Dexter Fowler and Trevor Cahill also turned down more lucrative offers in free agency.

The St. Louis Cardinals' best offer to Heyward is "thought to [have been]" $200 million over 10 years, according to a report.

It had previously been reported that the Washington Nationals made a similar offer to Heyward, who ended up agreeing to an eight-year, $184 million pact with the Cubs.
