Ned Yost would like to see the designated hitter in all interleague games regardless of where the games are played.

"I feel our team's built for an American League game," the Kansas City Royals manager said. "I love the National League rules when National League teams are playing National League teams. But for interleague, I think they should just make it all-DH."

When the Royals visit National League stadiums, the pitchers must hit. When the Royals host interleague games, visiting NL teams are afforded a designated hitter.

He clarified, however, that it was just for interleague games and that he had no problem with the National League and American League having two separate styles of play in games.

"For me, I loved managing a National League game," he said. "Because there's so much more strategy involved. The American League game, I love it, too, because it's easier. It's easier to manage the game. I'm not sure they should just throw the DH out in both of those, because the National League game, it's exciting. It's different."
