Rougned Odor wasn't surprised that the Texas Rangers sent him to Triple-A Round Rock earlier this week.

"I was swinging at a lot of bad pitches, I know that," said Odor, who was hitting .144 at the time of the demotion. "I was not like me. I didn't feel like me. I wasn't hitting good. I kind of knew they might [demote him]. They sent me down and now I'm going to work. I don't want to get mad because if I do, I'll block myself from getting better."

Jon Daniels and the Rangers expect Odor to once again become the confident player who "played with an edge" last season.

Odor, 21, hit .259/.297/.402 in 417 plate appearances in 2014.
