The Angels lost another position player Tuesday when Steve Finley was sidelined with a sore right shoulder, a day after Orlando Cabrera was sidelined with a sore right elbow. Finley suffered the injury in the second game of the season when he hit the wall in center in the 3-2 loss to the Rangers on April 6. The five-time Gold Glove center fielder had an MRI a few weeks back and said there was no extensive damage. He hopes to return Friday after receiving a cortisone shot from team orthopedist Dr. Lewis Yocum. "It is something he's dealt with over the course of his career, but it has gotten to the point where it affects him," manager Mike Scioscia said. "When it bothers your mechanics and your ability to swing, then you need to do something."
