Joakim Soria might be headed for Tommy John surgery on his pitching elbow, according to Royals general manager Dayton Moore. "There's damage to the ulnar collateral ligament, the MRIs revealed, and he's to see Dr. [Lewis] Yocum [on Tuesday in Los Angeles] for a second opinion," Moore said. If Soria undergoes the reconstructive surgery on his right elbow, it would knock him out for the 2012 season because the current recovery time is nine to 12 months.
