The Phillies activated one pitcher and signed one for the future on Thursday. Jon Lieber, out for more than a month due to a groin injury, was reinstated from the DL and will start Friday night against the Pirates. He was hurt while fielding a ground ball on May 29 against Washington. While the Phillies welcomed Lieber back, they signed first-round draft pick Kyle Drabek. The right-hander, who is the son of former Cy Young Award winner Doug Drabek, was assigned to Clearwater of the Gulf Coast League. "We're pleased to get Kyle signed and get him out and pitching," said Mike Arbuckle, the assistant general manager.
