Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter hopes to begin a running program on Monday or Tuesday, but he still won't commit to a possible return date. He is rehabbing from a strained calf muscle. "You've got to run. Once you start running, then we'll have a better sense," said Jeter, who's been on the disabled list since June 13. "If it was up to me I'd be playing now, but you have to be smart." Jeter, who turned 37 on Sunday, worked out in the batting cage.
