Runs are down across the board in Major League Baseball once again. Teams are averaging 4.18 runs per game in 2011, down from 4.38 last season and 4.61 in 2009. It marks the lowest average since 1992. There are also currently 23 starting pitchers that qualify for the ERA title with numbers under 3.00, the most in 30 years and nearly twice as many as in 2010.
