Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter doesn't know when he'll return to the team's lineup and resume his chase for 3,000 hits. Jeter will be eligible to come off the disabled list on Wednesday as he continues to heal from a strained calf muscle. "I do what they tell me to do," Jeter said when asked when he would resume running. "I can't give you a timetable. I've never done (this) before. Soon as I can play, I'll be back (with the team)." "We won't bring him back until he's put the pain behind him," general manager Brian Cashman said. "I'm sure he'd like to get the 3,000 hits. That's an extra issue. But I think he's frustrated he can't help the team win."
