Phillies manager Charlie Manuel admitted on Friday night that reliever Ryan Madson is pitching hurt. Manuel didn't go to Madson in the ninth inning of a tie game, when he likes to put in his closer. The manager described the injury as a "tingling" or a "feeling" in Madson's hand and/or fingers. "For about a week now, since Colorado, he's had a feeling in his hand," Manuel said. "Today, hopefully, he got it taken care of and he should be ready in three or four days. I didn't want to tell you because I don't want the other team to know and all of that crap. That's where it's at." It was determined that Madson injured his hand on May 20 when the Rangers' David Murphy hit a comebacker that hit the pitcher on his throwing hand.
