The Rays defeated the Astros 5-1 on Friday night as right-hander James Shields tossed his third-straight complete game, a team record. Shields, who is 8-4 this season, allowed three hits and struck out nine with one walk. He leads the majors with six complete games this season. "I definitely didn't think it was going to be this many," Shields said of his complete games. "I thought I was going to get three or four or something like that. It's unbelievable. This is not how I expected to start, but it's exactly how I want to start. So I'm going to try to keep it going."
