If the Cubs don't win now, the team may be a very different look in 2011. "I don't think you ever think about anything like that," impending free agent Derrek Lee said. "You only worry about winning games. All the other stuff takes care of itself. I don't think that's ever a concern." The Cubs have some of their 2008 swagger back this spring. "When guys like Geo (Soto) and Zambrano come in after losing weight, that shows dedication," Lee said. "I would think there's probably a little more focus. I think last year we probably took things for granted a little bit, coming off a great 2008, but this year we realize we're not the favorites. "We're not the best team on paper. I think the Cardinals are, so we've got our work cut out for us."
