Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo sent right-handers Stephen Strasburg and Drew Storen to Minor League camp. Strasburg, clearly the best pitcher in Nationals camp, was optioned to Double-A Harrisburg in the Eastern League, where both he and Storen will start the year. Strasburg pitched nine innings, gave up two runs on eight hits, struck out 12 and walked one in three spring starts. But the organization felt Strasburg has a lot to learn, such as holding base runners, fielding bunts and getting better when it comes to pitch selection. On Friday, Strasburg acknowledged that he had a lot to learn when he went to camp in February. "I try to get as much information from the coaches and players that I can. It will make me a better ballplayer and help this team win some ballgames," Strasburg said. "I've been able to make some adjustments working with [pitching coach] Steve McCatty in the bullpen. "I try to throw as many pitches as I can -- starting in the strike zone to force contact and not nibble. I just have been really trying to work hard and I've been able to have a little bit of success here so far."
