The Rangers have sent left-hander Derek Holland to Japan to help recruit Japanese pitcher Yusei Kikuchi. Kikuchi, 18, is considering whether to bypass the Nippon Professional Baseball draft to play in the United States. Holland made the trip with Jim Colborn, the Rangers' director of Pacific Rim operations.
