If Andy Pettitte isn't able to pitch on Wednesday, the Yankees could start Chien-Ming Wang against the Rangers. Pettitte is suffering from lower-back issues, and Wang has looked good out of New York's bullpen. "He looked really good," manager Joe Girardi said of Wang's 42-pitch outing on Sunday against the Indians. "His sinker was down, and he threw some really good sliders." Wang has thrown five scoreless innings in relief. "If Andy can't go on Wednesday, depending on the next couple of days, [Wang] could be the guy who starts," Girardi said.
