Young Mets reliever Bobby Parnell could take away J.J. Putz's role as eighth inning stopper. New York manager Jerry Manuel brought Parnell in with one out, a run in and two men on base in the eighth inning of the team's 3-2 win over the Marlins on Sunday. "We continue to try and do what we feel is best to win the game," Manuel said about replacing Putz in the eighth inning. "Sometimes those are tough decisions, but if we feel at that point that that's our best chance to win, then that's what we do."
