Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter missed Tuesday night's loss to the Blue Jays with a strained right oblique, but expects to return to the lineup on Wednesday.
"I'd like to think so," Jeter said about playing Wednesday. "It's sore. I have pulled that muscle before and it's a DL, two to three weeks. I am trying to avoid that."
Jeter indicated that the pull is right underneath his rib cage.
"It hasn't gotten better but I don't think it's much of a problem," he said.
