Since Hot Start, Tigers Have Worst Record In AL

The Tigers have struggled this season despite making a deep playoff run last fall and adding Prince Fielder in free agency.
Since they began the season 9-3, Detroit is 17-28. That is the worse record in the American League over that span.
"They're a much better team than the way they've played," a scout said. "And injuries have really hurt them. If they get everyone back and ... get their offense going again, they can still get hot. But they've got to hit -- because their defense is not good."
