Smoltz To Miss Start With Shoulder Tendinitis
Feb 11, 2014 5:26 PM
John Smoltz won't start for the Cardinals on Monday as scheduled.
The right-hander is hoping to miss just one start with shoulder tendinitis.
"As I've said many times before, if it was the playoffs starting, I'm sure I could have cranked it up," Smoltz told the Associated Press. "Like any tendinitis, once you get heated, you're fine."
Smoltz is 1-1 with a 3.27 ERA in four starts with St. Louis.
