A.J. Burnett continued to struggle on Saturday, allowing six runs to the Orioles over seven innings. Burnett allowed all six runs in the second inning, and New York suffered their second straight loss at the hands of Baltimore. The Yankees had been on course for the postseason, but nothing is clinched and manager Joe Girardi stressed the importance of getting Burnett, their No. 2 starter, on track. "You do want him to get on a roll. It's important for us," Girardi said. The Yankees hadn't lost back-to-back games at home since mid-June.
