The Cardinals and catcher Yadier Molina have agreed to terms on a multiyear extension, according to a report.

The deal is believed to be worth $75 million over five years.

Molina, who is in the final year of his current contract, said last week that he was willing to continue negotiations this spring and that he "would like to work something out and try to stay" in St. Louis.

Marlins RF Prefers 'Giancarlo' Stanton

Marlins right fielder Mike Stanton now wants to be known as "Giancarlo" Stanton.

With spring training cranking up and Stanton touted as a future home-run champion, he said he prefers Giancarlo.

That is now the way he's identified on Miami's roster. That's also the name on his paycheck and above his locker.
