Barry Bonds' 715th home run ball, which lifted the Giants slugger past Babe Ruth on all-time home run list, sold for $220,100 on Thursday in an eBay Inc. auction.

Giants fan Andrew Morbitzer, who caught the ball on May 28 at San Francisco's AT&T Park while near a concession stand, had listed the historic home run ball on the online marketplace at a starting price of $10,000.

Details about the buyer were not immediately available.
