The Brewers will skip Yovani Gallardo's next scheduled start in an attempt to limit his innings. Gallardo met with Milwaukee general manager Doug Melvin, among others, and the decision was made on Sunday. His next start will be Sept. 15 against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. "It makes sense after discussing it with them," Gallardo told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "It's kind of hard to go from 20 innings to 175. It's just one of those things. I don't want to get shut down. I want to finish off the year. We're just trying to find ways to make that happen. "It's understandable. I know they have the best interest for me. ... It's one of those things that's just precautionary. You don't want to let it catch up to you (later)."
