Few in the Cubs' clubhouse appear to be taking Carlos Zambrano's retirement claim seriously. Zambrano said after winning his 100th game that he would retire after his contract expires in 2012. "We've got to wait," Alfonso Soriano said. "A lot of people say they want to retire, and then when the last year comes, they sign for two more years. Mariano [ Rivera] in 2003 said he was going to retire, and he's played six more years. Roger Clemens, too. "A lot of people say it, and when the year comes, they say, 'I feel good. Maybe a couple more years.' " Lou Piniella thinks Zambrano is telling the truth, for now. "I like it," Piniella said. "We'll see how he feels next week."
