A scout believes that David Ortiz is done, but former teammate Johnny Damon is predicting a resurgence. "He's a 40-year-old man who can't play anymore," one scout said. "He's back to the guy he was eight years ago when you could blow fastballs by him inside. "To extend, he has to cheat [with his swing]. When he cheats, you can get him with off-speed pitches." Ortiz is batting .196 with two home runs. "It's strange seeing that," said Damon. "It won't be there for too long. He's bound to get hot and hopefully it's not until after we play them."
