Injured shortstop Miguel Tejada rejoined the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday and said he expects to return from his broken left wrist more quickly than expected. Team officials said Tejada would miss more than a month when he was put on the disabled list on June 22, but "I can be back sooner," Tejada said. Tejada ran through some drills with the Orioles before the game but did not fully participate. After meeting with a team doctor Wednesday, Tejada ditched the removable splint he had been wearing and wrapped his wrist with tape. At this point, he can't swing a bat, but he expects to be hitting off a tee and playing soft-toss by the weekend.
