Joe Girardi has emerged as the front-runner for the Orioles' managing job, according to the Baltimore Sun. Citing sources, the newspaper reported that Girardi could get an offer as early as this week. However, ESPN is reporting that the Orioles have offered the job to Girardi. Girardi met for over two hours with team officials, including incoming chief operating officer Andy MacPhail, executive vice president Mike Flanagan and vice president Lou Angelos.
