Texas Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels announced today the club has placed RHP Eric Gagn? on the 15-day disabled list (effective today) with a right hip strain and has recalled RHP Frank Francisco from Triple-A Oklahoma. Gagne, who began the season on the disabled list, made four appearances with the Rangers since his return to the club April 13. He made one save in 3.1 scoreless innings and had finished three games before Sunday, when he left the game after throwing 11 pitches to two batters in the ninth inning of the Rangers' 4-3 victory vs. Oakland. Francisco was 1-0, 0.00 (0 ER/6.0 IP) with two saves at Oklahoma. He made five appearances for the RedHawks and had not allowed a hit while striking out 14 and walking just three. In his last outing, two innings Saturday at Round Rock, he earned the victory after striking out five, walking two and hitting one of the nine batters he faced.
