The Cleveland Guardians have agreed to a seven-year, $106.5 million contract extension with Andres Gimenez, according to sources.

The deal includes an eighth-year club option, locking up the second baseman through the 2031 season. The extension kicks in next season.

It buys out his three years of arbitration and at least four years of free agency, with an option that could take the overall value of the deal to $128 million.
