The Milwaukee Brewers have completed a pair of trades to shore up the catcher position.

The Brewers acquired Victor Caratini from the San Diego Padres in exchange for minor league outfielder Korry Howell and catcher Brett Sullivan.

Milwaukee also added Alex Jackson from the Miami Marlins for minor league infielder Hayden Cantrelle and pitcher Alexis Ramirez.

The moves came a day after Pedro Severino was suspended for the first 80 games following a positive drug test.
