The Toronto Blue Jays have hired Jaime Vieira to serve as a Minor League hitting coach for the 2022 season, according to a report.

Vieira becomes the first woman in a coaching role for the Blue Jays.

She was most recently working in the Blue Jays' baseball operations department as a research and development intern, a position she held since last February.
