Former Major League reliever Jim Corsi, who pitched parts of three seasons with the Boston Red Sox, has revealed that he's battling terminal cancer.

Corsi shared that he's been diagnosed with stage IV colon and liver cancer.

"I made a mistake when I was younger. Not getting a colonoscopy," he told CBS Boston. "Should have done it. If you're out there, don't wait. Don't be stupid. I was a professional athlete. I thought I was invincible, you know what I mean, strong. And you're not. Cancer is not prejudiced to anybody."

Corsi, 60, was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1982.
