Cleveland Guardians owner Paul Dolan is in the process of selling nearly 35 percent of his ownership stake to David Blitzer, according to a report.

"While I can confirm meaningful discussions with David Blitzer about purchasing a minority ownership interest in the Cleveland Guardians, we can't comment any further," Dolan said in a statement to Cleveland.com.

Blitzer, 52, also has an ownership stake in the New Jersey Devils, the Philadelphia 76ers, several soccer teams and the Triple-A's Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
