Yadier Molina has confirmed that next season will be his last.

Molina agreed to a one-year contract extension with the St. Louis Cardinals for the 2022 season earlier this week. The catcher will make $10 million next year.

"Yes, yes, it will be my final season," Molina said Wednesday. "I want to finish here in this great organization."

Molina, 39, was a fourth-round pick by the Cardinals out of Ladislao Martinez High School in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico in 2000.
