Starling Marte recently rejected an extension offer from the Miami Marlins and there is now a "great chance" he will be traded prior to the July 30 deadline, according to a report.

Pittsburgh offered Marte a three-year, $30 million deal.

It was reported earlier this month that Marte was seeking $50 million over three or four years.

Marte is hitting .290/.391/.449 in 207 at bats this season.
