Shane Bieber was the unanimous winner of the AL Cy Young Award on Wednesday.

Bieber went 8-1 with a 1.63 ERA and 122 strikeouts in 77⅓ innings during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season for the Cleveland Indians. He led the Major Leagues in strikeouts, ERA and tied for the most wins.

Twins right-hander Kenta Maeda finished second in balloting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America, followed by Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu.
