The Los Angeles Dodgers have locked up their eighth straight National League West title.

They also clinched the NL's top seed.

"To fast-forward a couple months and be crowned NL West champs is a credit to everyone. It should never be taken for granted," Dave Roberts said. "Truth be told, a lot of guys didn't know we could clinch. We were responsible, but I let it know that it has to be appreciated."

L.A. has the best record in the Major Leagues at 39-16.
