J.D. Martinez didn't opt out of his contract with the Boston Red Sox.

Martinez has $62.5 million left on his deal over the next three years. The slugger also has the option to opt out after each of the next two seasons, as long as he does not spend a lengthy period on the injured list.

Over the past three years, Martinez leads the American League in home runs with 124 and is second in RBIs at 339, batting average at .313, slugging percentage at .619 and OPS at 1.007 over that span.
