Through seven innings on Thursday night, Max Muncy accounted for all of the offense in Game 1 of the NLDS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals.

Gavin Lux and Joc Pederson then supplied some insurance with solo home runs in the eighth as the Dodgers defeated the Nationals 6-0.

Walker Buehler made sure whatever offense his teammates provided was enough. He pitched six scoreless innings, striking out eight and walking three. The Nationals managed just two hits in the series opener and committed as many errors at Dodger Stadium.

Muncy got things started in the bottom of the first when he drew a walk with the bases loaded. Cody Bellinger scored in the fifth after Muncy was safe on a throwing error by Howie Kendrick. Muncy added an RBI single in the seventh inning.

Patrick Corbin struggled early, walking four in the first inning, but settled down to give the Nationals six innings with a single earned run. He struck out nine.

Game 2 of the series is Friday night with Stephen Strasburg and Clayton Kershaw on the mound.
