The Boston Red Sox are likely to part with either Mookie Betts or J.D. Martinez, if not both, this coming winter.

Doing so would allow the Red Sox to get under the luxury tax threshold.

Betts has one year of team control left before he qualifies for free agency.

Martinez, meanwhile, can opt out of his contract after this season or next. If he doesn't opt out, he'll make $60 million over the next three years.
